Prep pupils Spring into STEM
On Friday 22nd March, we welcomed guest speakers from Hitachi Solutions, Learn by Design, Manchester University and Stemettes to lead a jam packed schedule of activities for our Preparatory Department STEM Day.

Charlotte in Year 2 is celebrating a major triumph after receiving a Distinction in Grade 6 for Artistic Gymnastics.
Last week, girls in Year 6 learned all about hats on a visit to the famous Stockport Hat Works Museum.
The start of the new academic year 2018/19 has seen the Prep Department launch a new Enrichment programme for Key Stage 2 pupils.
The Preparatory Department took part in ActionAid’s ‘Big Me’ day; a national fundraising day for primary schools on 12th October.
All the pupils in Prep gathered together to perform to their families in celebration of the annual Harvest Festival in the Senior School hall on 4th October.
After listening to the poem ‘The Magic Box’ by Kit Wright, the Snowdrops each wrote their own line to create their own version of the poem. We hope you enjoy reading it.
The Daisy girls have been working really hard in their poetry unit, and have written their own version of The Magic Box by Kit Wright. This is a beautiful poem girls, we are very proud of you!
Pupils from Manchester High School for Girls joined young people from across the region in a march from the Pankhurst Centre to the new Emmeline Pankhurst statue in St. Peter’s Square on Friday 14th December.
