Manchester High School for Girls

A talented team of Year 10 students from Manchester High triumphed in the regional heat of the Coca-Cola Real Business Challenge competition held on the 9th February at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.

The budding entrepreneurs took the top trophy with their anti-litter campaign idea and secured their place in the national finals held in London on 15th – 16th March.

Huma, Roni, Navya, Emma, India and Grace will be whisked away to the capital where they will visit the Houses of Parliament, enjoy a West End show as well as tackling the final business challenge and competing for the national prize.

Emma explained: “We are really excited for winning the regional competition, and can’t wait to go to London. Our anti-litter campaign was created for the student campus of the University of Manchester which is very local to us. We created an app, a hashtag campaign, a bus poster, a mascot and an event launch and came up with some other quirky ideas to impress the judges.”

Everyone at Manchester High is rooting for the girls and wishes them the best of luck in the London finals next month!
