CHRISTMAS TEA PARTY FOR THE ELDERLY
Girls from Year 10 joined in the spirit of the Get Elfie campaign run by St Ann's Hospice to spread festive goodwill to their neighbours.
Elderly residents and people living in sheltered accommodation were guests at a tea party hosted by Manchester High students on 15th December.
Students, teachers and office staff wore Elf hats bought as part of a popular fundraising initiative by St Ann's for a nativity play, carols and a game of bingo.
Head of Year, Mrs Moores, a Spanish and French teacher, said: "At the end of a busy academic year it was nice to bring everyone together and at the same time give something back to the community.”
She added:"The Get Elfie campaign is a great way of raising funds for such a marvellous charity. The girls also baked cakes for our special guests who had a great time."
