Manchester High School for Girls

Girls in the Reception class kick-started the festive season at Manchester High today, 2nd December, as they performed their nativity play, ‘It’s a Baby’, to dozens of parents in the Preparatory Department.

This was the girls’ first ever school play and, albeit a few nerves, everyone enjoyed themselves immensely!

Both Prep and Senior School are still busy wrapping up the autumn term, however, many festive events are outlined for the last two weeks.

Students and staff at Manchester High are looking forward to Christmas Jumper Day on 11th December in aid of Save the Children, girls in Years 1 and 2 are getting ready for their school productions on 3rd and 4th December respectively, and the Prep Junior school production will take place in the Senior Hall on the evening of 10th December.

There have even been rumours of Father Christmas himself visiting Prep girls on 14th December!

The annual House Christmas Tree decoration competition is about to get started in the Senior School and staff are busy practising for the annual staff panto, performed on the last day of term.
