Junior Sixth student from MHSG, Tali Fraser, proved she has got plenty to offer to the world of work as she was chosen runner up amongst over 7,000 entrants in the National Schools Employability Challenge last month.

The competition is run by Rate My Apprentice and PwC to find the most employable young people in the UK, and culminated with a grand final at the PwC headquarters in London on 20th April.

Tali explained: “We had to fill in an online assessment to reveal our employability, and we also took part in a comprehension exercise. I made it to the final based on my performance on these two tests.”

60 finalists from all over the UK took part in the final, where they completed psychometric testing on their knowledge of the economy alongside verbal and non-verbal reasoning. The competitors then had training on interview techniques and tests on team working skills.

Tali concluded: “It was a long but a fantastic day, I learned so much. I was thrilled to be chosen runner up. Along with my award I now have paid work experience with PwC this summer which I am really looking forward to!”
