SELL-OUT JUNIOR PRODUCTION WOWS THE AUDIENCE
This year’s sell-out Junior Christmas production on 8th December saw some of the world’s most famous children’s story writers, Hans Christian Andersen and The Brothers Grimm, fighting it out to be the only story writer in town.
Prep girls in Years 3 to 6 put on a fantastic performance about the two writers who faced fierce competition in ‘the kids’ mass market’.
To help their public decide who would ‘hang up their quill’, some familiar characters appeared in very unusual versions of their well-known tales. The audiences met the Ugly Duckling who tried to get liposuction and a longer neck in a bid to be more swan-like; a Little Mermaid who was unhappy with the change in her script, and a Princess who complained to the bed shop about having yet another pea under her 17th mattress.
Miss Bingham from the Preparatory Department said:
“The girls worked incredibly hard learning lines and songs which resulted in this outstanding performance. Particular congratulations go to the girls in Year 4 for taking on the acting roles and solos for this sell-out show!”
