FUTURES FAIR BRINGS EXPERTS TO SCHOOL
Manchester High School for Girls welcomed professionals from a range of industries to its Futures Fair on Wednesday 14th March,
The event was held as part of the School’s ‘Futures’ programme which promotes the many different routes to success. It was open to students from Year 9 to Sixth Form who were looking for tips and advice on potential careers.
Visiting experts ranged from the fields of accountancy and architecture to cyber security and surveying, and students were also able to get general guidance on gap years, apprenticeships and much more.
Mrs Norton, Director of Sixth Form Studies, said: "‘We are so fortunate at Manchester High to have such an accomplished and generous group of alumnae, parents and friends who will happily give up their time to help our current pupils.
"There was a real buzz on the night and I know that the pupils and parents got so much out of it. The wonderful thing about an event like this is that you get to discover career areas you never knew existed."
