Manchester High School for Girls

On Wednesday 13th December at 6pm, students and parents will be able to hear about the world of paid BBC apprenticeships and how to get on board.

Part of our successful ‘Insight into’ series of twilight talks, this event will welcome Naomi Blackbourn from the BBC’s Schemes and Assessments Team who will be talking about the apprenticeships on offer, including Journalism, Production and Business Management.

Former MHSG pupil, Alice McMahon, will also be sharing her story of how she beat off competition from over 3,000 applicants to secure her place on the BBC’s Media Production apprenticeship.

The talk starts at 6pm in the Zochonis Lecture Theatre and is open to all pupils from Year 10 upwards. Parents are encouraged to attend the talk with their daughter and find out more about the incredible oppurtunities on offer.

Friends from other local schools and colleges are also welcome to attend but must be registered.

Our last ‘Insight Into…’ careers event was fully booked and we did have to turn people away, so please make sure to sign up to attend this event.
