A Virtual Welcome - Any Time
At Manchester High School for Girls, we love to showcase our school to prospective families but the ongoing pandemic has meant that there have been fewer opportunities to do this over the last twelve months.
Reinvesting in the Third Sector
With the Easter holidays just around the corner, this week our students were given the oppurtunity to virtually attend our final ‘Insight Into’ careers talk of the academic year.
It seemed poignant that we welcomed our girls back to school after the third lockdown, on International Women’s Day – a day that celebrates the achievements of women and highlights the gender inequalities that are sadly still so evident across the world.
Insight into Charity and The Third Sector
The charity and voluntary sector, also referred to as the 'third sector', aims to create social rather than material wealth. With most charities run as professional businesses, career opportunities can range from operations, fundraising, and policy making to marketing, events, administration and research. If you have an interest in social change, and want to put your skills to use in the charitable sector - this event is for you!
