Our Alumnae Community

MHSG has a long and proud history of educating women who have gone on to change the world.

From the famous suffragette sisters, Christabel, Sylvia and Adela Pankhurst, to present-day leaders in their field such as Anushka Asthana, Editor-at-Large for the Guardian and Dr Kotska Wallace, Principal Engineer at the European Space Agency; our current students are inspired by those who have studied at MHSG before them.

Between them, our alumnae have claimed many firsts; including England's first qualified female solicitor, the first female chief cashier for the Bank of England, the first female to be called to the Bar, the first female helicopter pilot in the British Army, the first female to swim in the English Channel and England's first female bishop.

Our alumnae are a part of our pioneering history and we want to hear from you!

This section of the website celebrates what the members of our alumnae community have gone on to do since their time at Manchester High.

Our aim is to make our past pupils’ stories more visible and provide positive role models for future generations. If you would like to help shape the future of our girls here at MHSG by sharing your reflections in your own words, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
