Global Head of Talent and Diversity, AstraZeneca, Class of 1998
“The gift of opportunity and education is priceless and I will always consider my assisted place at Manchester High one of the greatest gifts I have ever received.
“After spending a number of years in Hong Kong my family returned to the UK in 1993. While my parents could not afford the full Manchester High fees, the School saw the spark of potential in me and granted me an assisted place. They supported and nurtured this potential right through to when I left Manchester High with straight A’s at A level, heading to King’s College London to study Business Management where I achieved a first class degree.
“It is no coincidence that my career has led me to lead the practice of spotting and nurturing potential in others within a large multinational company. Giving someone a chance is something that I am hugely passionate about and I am convinced that this all stems from Manchester High giving me the gift of education all those years ago.”
