Our Vision
To inspire girls to pursue the highest academic, personal and moral standards and empower them to become responsible global citizens who have a positive impact on the world.

Objectives

 

1. To uphold the renowned MHSG ethos of excellent academic education and personal development by: 

1.1  Enrolling girls with true potential, regardless of their means to pay; striving to be academically, but not financially selective

1.2  Offering a wide and varied learning experience that is full of opportunity, delivered by staff who are experts in educating high-achieving girls

1.3  Sustaining excellent academic outcomes by challenging and supporting every girl to achieve her personal best

1.4  Encouraging girls to respect themselves and others; developing responsible global citizens who have a positive impact on the world

 

2. To develop fulfilled, balanced and self-determining individuals by:

2016 Head Girl, Ebony, is inspired by former pupil and Lead Engineer at Boeing Europe, Kelly Moran, who gave an 'Insight into Engineering' talk at MHSG.

2.1  Offering exciting and diverse extra-curricular activities that allow time and space for girls to pursue existing passions and discover new ones

2.2  Providing outstanding pastoral care and an exceptional well-being programme that educates girls to lead balanced and healthy lives with strong moral awareness

2.3  Delivering a 'Futures' programme that promotes the many different routes to success, empowering girls to weigh up a world of opportunity and be bold enough to take the path that is right for them

2.4  Developing meaningful relationships with our alumnae, as role models and long-term supporters; fostering a sense of belonging that endures long after leaving school

 

 

3. To honour our pioneering spirit, and be outward-looking and forward-thinking by:

3.1  Being a responsible member of the community; sharing our expertise and opportunities in a meaningful programme of public benefit activities

3.2  Forming valuable partnerships with others including the wider business, creative and educational communities

3.3  Celebrating MHSG’s history and promoting women’s equality

3.4  Developing estates and technology strategies that ensure excellent facilities and resources

MHSG has a thriving partnership with local tech giant, UKFast.
