Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Our PTA is a vibrant, committed group of parents working together to raise funds that enhance life at MHSG. We support those extra touches – from innovative resources to memorable events – that enrich the experience for every student.

The Manchester High School for Girls PTA

Recent contributions include:

  • Henry VIII lookalike visit for History
  • Balance Week activities (Silent Disco and Skateboarding)
  • Year 9 Team-Building Day
  • Sphero Bolts for Prep
  • Polytunnel for Gardening and Biology
  • Plus much more

Part of the funds raised also supports the MHSG Bursary Fund.

How to Support the PTA

Support via Easy Fundraising

  • Download the Easy Fundraising app
  • Select MHSG PTA as your cause
  • Shop as normal – up to 2% of your purchases are donated to us
  • Over £2,600 raised since 2020

Join us at the Christmas Fair

  • A highlight of the school year and a major fundraiser, with £20,000+ raised to date

How to Get Involved

Visit the Pre-loved Uniform Shop

  • First Friday of every month, 1.30–3.30pm
  • Pupils can also purchase during lunch using contactless payment
  • Dates are published in the Weekly Bulletin

Attend a PTA Meeting

  • Once a term, held online via Zoom or Teams at 7pm on a weekday evening
  • No special skills required – just enthusiasm
  • Email pta.MHSG@gmail.com to join
