Manchester High School for Girls

Harvest Festival 2018

All the pupils in Prep gathered together to perform to their families in celebration of the annual Harvest Festival in the Senior School hall on 4th October.

The audience enjoyed a beautiful array of songs and a thought-provoking collection of poems written by the girls to celebrate National Poetry Day. The sheer volume of goods collected for Emmeline’s Pantry was astounding. Volunteers from the centre attended the assembly to talk to girls and parents about the importance of their donations, and how they will help women and children in Manchester for many months to come.

Later that week, a group of Year 4 girls helped the Estates team to load up the School’s minibus which took the goods over to the charity. A huge thank you to all the parents who donated for this important cause!
