Sasha Scores for England

Congratulations to Sasha McTiffin in Year 10, who captained England Women’s Under 16s against Ireland on Sunday. After a long game, Sasha scored in the final minute to equalise the game – a fantastic result!

Sasha, who also represents Manchester United, has played for England on numerous occasions. A trawl through the Manchester High website will lead to an article about her selection for Manchester United. Mrs Newman, Director of Sport, said at the time: “As a PE Department, we are very proud of her achievements and wish her every success with her attempt to fulfil her dream of playing for England; a distinct possibility if she continues with the same focus and mentality.”

About Sasha’s latest achievement, Mrs Rowley said: “When sportspeople achieve success at a very young age it can be easy to lose momentum, but this certainly hasn’t been the case with Sasha. She is a first-rate performer and her focus has never wavered. We are incredibly proud of her.”
