Manchester High School for Girls

Preparatory Department Support NSPCC Numbers Day

On Friday 7th February, girls in the Preparatory Department supported the NSPCC by taking part in their Number Day.

The NSPCC believes that all children deserve a childhood free from harm but, sadly, that’s not the case for many children. That’s why the NSPCC is fighting for every childhood and working to help keep children safe from abuse.

Number Day was a great way to make maths fun and bring about a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude towards it. Pupils from Reception to Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed taking part in fun, practical problem solving activities at school, as well as taking some problems home to be sponsored to solve.

We were overwhelmed with the generosity and support. We hope that the girls had fun solving problems at home. Thank you so much to everyone who has brought their sponsorship forms and money in – the money will support a worthy cause and we are all grateful for your help.
