Dine with your Daughter

Manchester High’s youngest pupils welcomed their parents to the dining room last week for the annual ‘Dine with your Daughter’ days.
Girls in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 invited their parents to sample a school lunch (served on a traditional dinner tray!) and show them some of their classwork.
Mrs Anderson, Assistant Head of the Preparatory Department and Reception teacher, said: “Our pupils love having their parents in for lunch. Starting at a new school is a big deal and this event helps to reassure parents that their children are happy and well-looked after here in the Preparatory Department. We’re fortunate to have some incredibly passionate learners here and I’m always full of pride when I see them telling their parents about what they’ve learned.”
Mr Norton, Manchester High’s Catering Manager, said: “When prospective parents visit us on open days, they’re always very interested to know about the food we serve. We think these events are a fantastic way to engage parents in school life while helping them to learn a bit more about the food we offer. The girls love the event every year!”
