Manchester High School for Girls

Insight into Finance

On Monday 11th November we will be hosting our second ‘Insight into…’ careers talk of the academic year at Manchester High School for Girls.

Students and their parents from years 9 through to 13 who have an interest in the Finance Industry and would like to know more about the variety of paths and careers available are welcome to sign up for this fantastic opportunity, which is free to attend.

We will be welcoming back Izzie Clarke, Class of 2012 alumna. After graduating from the University of Exeter in 2015 with a first class degree in Economics, Izzie started at JP Morgan on the Finance Graduate Programme. Since finishing the 3 year rotational scheme, and becoming CIMA qualified, Isobel has continued working at JP Morgan and taken on a new role as Business Manager to the Head of EMEA Payments.

Laura Forster from the Class of 1995 will give an overview of her journey from her BA in Politics & Economics at Trinity College Oxford to becoming an Ombudsman in the Financial Ombudsman Service, telling us what it’s like working in the legal side of finance.

Our final speaker is Class of 2005 alumna, Keely Hallworth who took a more unusual route into the financial services industry. Starting out her career in Forestry and Conservation and looking for a change of pace, Keely is now Executive Corporate Finance Advisory at Deloitte and will share her experience of a hyphenated career.

We anticipate that this will be a very popular evening so seats must be reserved in advance. Please contact Mrs Lex Robinson in the Development Team: development@mhsg.manchester.sch.uk
