Manchester High School for Girls

Insight into Ethics and Sustainability

On Monday 16th December we will be hosting another “Insight into…” careers talk at Manchester High School for Girls.

Corporate social responsibility, environmental awareness and ethical development is at the top of the political and business agenda and this is a great chance for students and parents to learn about a wide range of careers in this area.

Sarah Malik (MHSG Class of 1988) will talk about her experience as Ethics and Compliance Manager at QVC. Sarah will share her journey from her degree in Engineering at the University of Salford and her 23 years of experience at Rolls-Royce.

Sonia Ginty (MHSG Class of 2005), CEO of QBag, will share how she climbed the ladder from Junior Admin at a small packaging company to running QBag, a company at the forefront of innovation in environmentally friendly packaging.

Vanessa Wall (MHSG Class of 2002) is a Principal Consultant in AECOM’s Sustainability and Advanced Design Group. She provides sustainability and energy efficiency advice and assessment for projects in all sectors of the built environment. Vanessa has worked on projects at MediaCityUK, Manchester Airport and St Peter’s Square. Vanessa studied architecture at the University of Bath.

The talk is open to pupils from Year 9 upwards and their parents, as well as students from other local schools and colleges.

Our last “Insight Into…” evening was massively oversubscribed and we recommend securing your seats as soon as possible. Please do not attend on the night without having booked your place.

Places can be booked via Lex Robinson in the Development Team: development@mhsg.manchester.sch.uk
