Manchester High School for Girls

The MHSG Bursary Ball at The Principal

Saturday 29th June 2019

Time:              7.00pm to 1.00am

Location:      The Principal Hotel Manchester, Oxford St, Manchester M60 7HA

Price:              £65 per ticket, £600 per table of 10

Tickets are now on sale for this glittering event, which takes place on Saturday 29th June at the Grade II listed Principal Hotel in Manchester.

With its clock tower and striking Victorian architecture, The Principal Manchester is an unmistakable landmark in the city's skyline. A magnificent, terracotta Grade II listed building, the hotel has a history dating back to 1890 and provides us with stunning surroundings for the biggest event in our School calendar.

It’s a time for the Manchester High community of parents and alumnae to come together for a sparkling drinks reception, three-course meal, great entertainment from our pupils and dancing until the early hours with music from The Principal’s resident DJ.

Tickets for this black tie evening are £65 each or £600 for a table of 10 and all proceeds go towards the School’s Pankhurst Bursary Appeal.

The ever-popular, and always highly contested, ‘money can’t buy’ auction will be back and our hosts for the evening are Becky Cahill and Mike Toolan of Hits Radio.

Exciting auction and raffle prizes really do help us generate significant funds on the night. If you, or your business, are able to provide an auction or raffle prize, please contact Mrs Lex Robinson on 0161 224 0447 or

Please also contact Lex if you would like to place an advertisement in the official souvenir programme; a full-page colour advertisement is £250.

The Principal Hotel has reserved a block of rooms available for our guests to book at a rate of £222 for two, including breakfast. For those that wish to stay overnight please call 0161 288 1111 and quote “Manchester High School for Girls Allocation” before 1st June.
