A now familiar part of Founders’ Day is a presentation by students on the founding of the School. It reminds everyone of the challenges faced by the School’s Founders and their guiding principles in 1874.
A commemorative ceremony was held at Manchester’s Bridgwater Hall with guest speaker Reverend Steve James of Holy Trinity Church, Fallowfield (pictured with the Chair of Governors and Head Mistress). Reverend James has won many plaudits for his outreach work within the community, not least as an acclaimed Christian musician who has recorded seven albums of his own songs.
