Mr Brady said he hoped his visit to the School would help to foster a general interest in politics among young people.
He added: “I am always happy to talk to students about the political process. These are the voters – and maybe the MPs – of the future. I think it’s valuable for them to have an insight into the way politics works.”
Like Mr Brady, Head Girl Susie Thom (pictured to the right of Mr Brady) and the five Deputy Head Girls have already had a taste of election success – after being voted into their roles by fellow pupils and teachers.
Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Juliet Miles, commented: “The Head Girl Team are an important link between the pupils and the Head Mistress. It’s a big role and definitely not for the faint-hearted. However, their duties give them an experience of many of the management skills that will be useful to them later in life.”
