Maanti's Mock Trial

Sixth Form student Maanti Nkwenti looks the part in a barrister’s wig and gown during the annual Mock Trial competition held at Manchester’s Minshull Street Courts.

The event gives students who are considering a career in the legal profession the chance to prosecute or defend a plaintiff, as in a real court case, with witnesses encouraged to behave in character.

Participants prepare for the event alongside a barrister and many MHSG students have used the experience to determine their choice of career.
