Tales From Malham

A Blustery day in the Yorkshire Dales greeted Year 10 geography students who visited Malham to study its renowned limestone pavement and scenery.

The group also visited Malham Cove, a 300 metre wide crag of carboniferous limestone formed after the last Ice Age, and Goredale, a large limestone gorge.

During the day, the girls considered the impacts of tourism on the Dales National Park, and studied footpath erosion and management techniques.
