Professor Richard Dawkins has sold over a million copies of his book, The God Delusion, in which he discusses religion and a shared belief in God, from an atheist perspective. His work has earned him the nickname of Darwin’s Rottweiler!
During the afternoon, 23 girls attended seminars entitled The Death Of The Idol and The Science Delusion, before listening to Dawkins give a contentious, but fascinating lecture that challenged relationships with God, religion and science.
The subject matter was certainly provocative, especially the question of whether God’s existence could be proved, with the MHSG students having a chance to meet the author and get autographed copies of the book to read over the Summer.
