The Old Girls' Federation has thrived through successive generations of past pupils and all age groups are represented. It first met in September 1883 as the 'Old Pupils' Association'.

Principal Officers:

Federation President:        Shirley Dixon

Federation Treasurer:        Fran Floyd

Federation Secretary:        Christine Sargent

The 2008 Federation Lunch and AGM was held in School on Saturday 21 June. Guest speaker, Reverend Dr. Ann Peart, Principal of the Unitarian College in Manchester, presented a most interesting tale: ‘From MHSG to Unitarian College -  40 years to cross the road’.

On behalf of the OGF, former Federation President, Christine Sargent (pictured left), presented Head Mistress, Mrs Christine Lee-Jones (pictuerd right), with a retirement gift of everlasting orchids. Mrs Lee-Jones was thanked her for excellent leadership of the School and her vision in extending the facilities, which Old Girls have been delighted to see. Christine Sargent thanked the Head Mistress for her support of the OGF, as Honorary President, where she has attended many meetings getting to know members and reporting on the School’s successes and activities.
