Under the watchful eye of Terry Wilson from the School’s Maintenance Team, the Mother and her fledglings coolly waddled through a corridor, out into the car park and towards their natural habitat of Platt Fields Park.
Mr Wilson explained: “It was 13 years ago when we came across the first duck roosting in the Courtyard and they have tended to return ever since.
“The number of ducklings has varied but this year’s total of 16 is certainly among the largest I can remember.
“It is amazing that at least one duck manages to return to the same place each year. It must be the safety of the Courtyard that they like - or maybe it is the attention they get,” he added.
