Five girls from Manchester High joined forces with pupils of Manchester Grammar School and Withington Girls School in a performance of the classic comic opera, ‘Die Fledermaus’, by Strauss. Leading lady, Helen Hutchinson, took the role of Rosalinda, accompanied by Rosalia Delfino, Olivia Heagerty, Heather Oakes and Rachael Phillip. The girls delighted their audience in this tale of love in which mistaken identity plays a major part in the intrigue. However all’s well in the end as everything is blamed on the champagne! |
