Following last year’s success, a further six girls have been selected to join the prestigious National Children’s Choir of Great Britain (NCCGB).
Students chose a range of songs to perform in their auditions, from folk and country to Disney soundtracks, all of which they had to sing from memory. In addition, individuals were required to complete a short sight-reading piece and an aural test.
A training course was held at Seaford College, West Sussex at Easter where the girls enjoyed recreational activities as well as choir work. The aim of the NCC is to allow young people to experience the sharing of singing as an expressive art form, and to gain in confidence and self-reliance.
