From the time of is foundation in 1874, Manchester High School for Girls has been fortunate in the number of benefactors who have shared our vision of providing the very best education for girls of ability.
To continue to do this and ensure that Manchester High remains one of the country's leading schools, the generosity of donors is needed more than ever. Assisted places no longer exist and we must now rely on our own resources to fund much deserved bursaries. As we move further into the 21st century, we must also ensure that MHSG continues to provide a centre of excellence for all.
Like many girls' schools, we do not possess a large endowment fund and, although we are regarded as one of the best value schools in the country, we do not wish to place the entire burden of extra costs onto school fees.
