Tour De Paris
[printer-friendly page] [printer-friendly page]

A group of excited Year 8s travelled to Paris to participate in a French exchange. Elizabeth Hopper commented on the trip:

“Following a busy day of introductions and settling in, we all met as planned in the courtyard of l’Institut de la Tour (our school for the next few days). We discussed our first encounter with the French families and also wrote our diaries.

During our time at the school we enjoyed a variety of lessons including one about the history of the Château de Versailles.

While in Paris, we took a boat trip along the Seine, visited Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, l’Arc de Triomphe and l’Opera Garnier.

We spent the weekend with our French families and met up with the other girls for a crêpe party and shopping trips. Some students were lucky enough to visit Disneyland Paris and others, the Château de Versailles.

At the end of the exchange we were all excited about seeing our parents again but upset to leave Paris and our new French friends!”
