Life in the Sixth Form
[printer-friendly page] [printer-friendly page]

In the Sixth Form at Manchester High School for Girls your daughter will benefit from being an experienced member of an inspirational school whose students are not only poised, ambitious and independent but also supportive of other members of the community.

We encourage high aspirations in our students and, when your daughter begins the final stage of her secondary education, she will be doing so with teachers whose knowledge of her as an individual will prove invaluable during her AS and A level courses.  She will also make new contacts amongst the increasing number of students who enter our school after GCSEs.

Life in the Sixth Form presents a much greater measure of independence:  Sixth Formers are trusted to organise their own schedules and, adhering to an agreed dress code, they are free to choose what they wear.  They also enjoy the benefits of their own Sixth Form accommodation.
