Eat More Fruit

This was the topic of the summer term in Year 1 where the girls spent time learning about different fruits. They were taught how to prepare fruit, about their different textures and colours and how important fruit is to our diet.

Head of Catering at the School, Mrs Venys-Moran, brought along some exotic fruits from the kitchen allowing pupils to taste papaya, dragon fruit and star fruit. She explained to the girls about where the fruits grow and also how to eat them.

Eager girls then had to create their own fruit recipe, where culinary delights included smoothies, exotic fruit kebabs and fruit cocktails.
