Fun Day Raises £2000

All girls participated in the School’s fantastic Fun Day where each form had their own stall, from chocolate fountains and beauty parlours to face painting and a coconut shy. Staff took part in the obligatory ‘throw a wet sponge’ competition and the annual ‘sumo wrestling’ event. Mathematics teacher Mr Jones and PE teacher Miss Rowley were crowned champions after long fought out battles in their inflatable costumes!

Chic entertainment came from the ‘Alternative Fashion Show’ which certainly turned heads. Students designed intricate masterpieces using bin liners, foil, aluminium cans, old newspapers and magazines. The girls worked together to produce some amazing designs worthy of the catwalks of London, Paris and Milan.

Much fun was had by all and the event helped to raise £2000 for charities chosen by each year group.
