Dedicated GCSE students finished their examinations and immediately embarked on a variety of work placements with companies across Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
Laura Bonney spent two weeks at the Liberal Democrat Office for Manchester Withington. Here she gained a real understanding of the work that goes into running a constituency.
Charlotte King and Danielle Hobday (pictured below) completed their placements at Beaver Road Primary School and both agreed that they had found the experience very rewarding.
Saffiya Haddad worked at Cobbetts LLP in Manchester city centre where her skills and confidence found her mistaken for an undergraduate!
Sarah Humphreys spent her placement at the Royal School for the Deaf and Communication Disorders in Cheadle Hulme. She said: “The whole experience was a real eye-opener and quite intense. I found it very interesting though and thoroughly enjoyed my time there, even getting the chance to learn some sign language.” |
