Head of Classics, Miss Welsby, and a group of girls studying Classical Civilisation visited the British Museum in London to view sculptures from the Parthenon in Athens, Greek pots and examples of free-standing sculptures.

The group also visited the Royal National Theatre to watch a highly dramatic and moving production of Euripides’ ‘Women of Troy’.

Although it was challenging day, everyone enjoyed the visit and felt that it had been invaluable in their preparation for A Level examinations.
