| A trip to Rome with the Classics Dept |
In addition to the many choices available in extra-curricular sports and music, there is a wide variety of clubs and workshops ranging from Jewellery Making to Debating.
Your daughter may also decide to join the French Exchange visit to Paris in Year 8 and, later, trips to Spain and Germany. She can choose to take part in the annual ski trip or travel with the school to America, Italy, Greece, Africa and other culturally interesting destinations. Closer to home, there will be several opportunities for residential and non-residential trips.
As a more senior student, your daughter will have the chance to take on significant responsibilities which will enable her to develop strong leadership and communication skills. In Year 10, she will be able to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Sports Leader Awards training.

| A visit from Martin Bell |
Charity fund-raising is an important part of the extra-curricular life of Manchester High and students are actively encouraged to work for the benefit of the wider community, taking part in activities ranging from cake sales to large events such as fashion shows.
Our Life Skills programme and external speakers ensure, too, that pupils have access to a wealth of knowledge about life outside of School. |
