A Taste Of Success

Food-loving Faye Clayton hit upon a recipe for success when she entered a nationwide search to find a great British meal for a Great British icon.

Faye devised two mouth-watering dishes for Double Olympic Gold Medallist Dame Kelly Holmes, to win the contest organised by the School’s catering company.

Faye devised two mouth-watering dishes of Toad in the Hole, accompanied by Raspberry and Blackberry Crumble, due to its high carbohydrate content and calorie count which is favoured by sporting stars. A choice of runner-beans as a vegetable side dish was particularly fitting!

Faye won £500 worth of gardening vouchers for the School which will be spent on healthy-living initiatives including plans to create raised vegetable beds. She also received a £50 fashion voucher for herself.
