MHSG’s budding chemists took part in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Chemquiz competition which this year celebrated its 21^st anniversary.

Channelle Laird, Natasa Ivkovic-Moutrey, Zoe Rose and Connie Lee represented the School as one of the 40 teams taking part at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Dr Laila Moore commented: “Our girls seemed to thrive on the challenge and enjoyed the various activities undertaken throughout the day. The judges were particularly impressed with their organisational skills and team work.”

At the end of a very tough and intense, but enjoyable, competition the team came in a very respectable sixth place. Every participant was presented with a goodie bag and a commemorative mug.
