Cross Country Starlets and Athletics Aces

The School's Cross Country teams have recorded more successes with the Junior girls winning the first round of the English Schools Cup. The team went on to compete in the North West round in Liverpool, all girls from Years 7 and 8 ran extremely well and just missed qualification for the National Final.

 

 

In the Manchester Schools Championships, the team covered themselves in glory:

 

Year 7s won the Team Championship with Olivia Metcalf, Robyn Howse, Imogen Harper, Chaaya Agravat, Rebecca Dawson, Sana Ahmed and Rebecca Page.

 

Years 8 and 9, led by Kirsten McAslan, finished in second place. Kirsten won the race and Chloe Grant was a close third.

 

The following girls went on to represent Manchester in the Greater Manchester Championships; Olivia Metcalf, Robyn Howse, Imogen Harper, Chloe Grant, Olivia Speed along with Kirsten McAslan, who also represented Greater Manchester in the National Schools’ Championships.

  

The Athletics team was invited to compete at Sportcity at the Indoor Athletics Championships. Years 8 and 9 did exceptionally well and won through to the final, narrowly missing out on first place.
