CREATIVITY abounded when our Year 5 girls provided a personal touch to Mothers Day.

The girls spent a fun afternoon in the Senior School Art Studio under the guidance of Mrs Scott and her support team during which they created colourful potted flowers.

First the girls painted their designs onto fabric before being shown how to thread it with wire. Following a quick blast from a hairdryer, the fabric was scrunched into the shape of a flower head, with the wire allowing it to be affixed into a hand-crafted pot or stand.

The girls earned much praise from Mrs Scott for working imaginatively and efficiently and all involved were able to take home their gifts in time for Mothers Day.
