POPULAR children’s author, Amanda Lees, visited to provide expert advice on how to structure the perfect story.

Amanda is the force behind the major new teen series Kumari, Goddess of Gotham, and she thrilled pupils with readings from the novel.

As well as signing books, Amanda provided an insight into the life of a professional writer and explained about the importance of form and developing a plot.

During a question-and-answer session, she encouraged the girls to develop the habit of writing regularly and not overlook the need to edit work throughly.
