Scaling New Heights

OUR Prep girls have a reputation for being high climbers. Now Year 6 pupils, Molly Foster and Sophie Hamilton, have issued a possible record-breaking challenge to raise funds for Manchester’s Christie Hospital.

The determined duo is appealing to friends from Years 5 and 6 to join them for their 24 Hour Seven Summit Challenge at Manchester Climbing Centre.

The event, which will involve climbers of all ages, seeks to scale a cumulative height of 43,322 metres which is equivalent to the seven highest summits on each continent.

Girls from the Prep will start the event during the weekend of 25th/26th April. The event will raise money for Christie’s after Molly’s Mother, Carol, was treated for the condition Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
