MHSG's Parents' and Friends' Association provided a generous donation of £10,000 towards the school's Miles Better Mini-Bus Appeal.

The money was raised from a series of events that the PFA stage throughout the year, including:

• A monthly 200 club draw
• A Summer Ball
• A Christmas Raffle

The PFA also organises an evening at a local restaurant for parents and guardians of Year 7 pupils. It is a welcome opportunity for them to get to know one another at a time when the transition from primary to secondary education can be a daunting experience.

The PFA makes an invaluable contribution to the strong sense of community at Manchester High School for Girls, encouraging parents to form friendships and help one another when commitments arise.
