A Question Of Philosophy
[printer-friendly page] [printer-friendly page]

TWO of Britain’s leading philosophers provided their thoughts on Plato and Aristotle to our

Senior Sixth Form students.

Peter Vardy (pictured) is said to have achieved cult status amongst philosophy students through his books and videos on religious studies. Vardy is an outspoken critic of ethologist Richard Dawkins whom MHSG students met during the summer.

Mr Vardy was joined at Manchester University by fellow academic, Julie Arlis. The pair co-authored the acclaimed book, The Thinker's Guide to God.

As well as lectures on Plato and Aristotle, cosmological arguments and religious experience were themes covered during a highly enjoyable day.
