Emily Earmarked As A Rising Netball Star
[printer-friendly page] [printer-friendly page]

Year 11 student Emily Carey has been earmarked as a potential international by the England Netball, the governing body for England’s biggest female team sport.

Emily, from Wilmslow, has been invited to join the elite North of England Development Squad. Last year, she was called up by the Under 17 England Academy for Netball.

With World Netball Championships being held in New Zealand during November 2007, Emily has every chance of one day emulating current internationals Ama Agbeze (Goalkeeper), Jade Clarke (Wing Defence) and Clare Elsley (Wing Defence), all of whom graduated to the senior side from development squads.
