Almost 100 pupils from across the Senior School were involved in a day-long programme of music workshops.

The girls, from Year 7 to 10, formed various chamber music ensembles throughout the day, the sizes of which ranged from duets through to nonets.

It gave the musicians a chance to fine tune their performance skills and to collaborate with different instrumentalists.

MHSG Director of Music, Mrs Kathy Rundell said: “It was the first time we have staged an event in this format and judging by its success, and how much it was enjoyed, it will not be the last!”
