After leaving MHSG, I went To Durham University where I obtained a first class honours degree in Applied Physics and Electronics.

I worked at ICI in Runcorn for 4 years, concentrating on Finance and Human Resources systems, as well as a new Applications Package called SAP. This was a package that many large companies across Europe were starting to use, as it managed key processes of Finance, Purchasing, Sales, Manufacturing, Business Reporting and Human Resources.

I moved into IT consultancy and obtained a job with Andersen Consulting, implementing SAP in British Rail, Sony and Sun Alliance. I then joined EDS, again based in Manchester, working on SAP projects for the likes of Cebal and General Motors.

In 1999 I started work for Atos Origin, working in a SAP Support Centre, helping over 50 companies run their existing SAP systems effectively, rather than implementing new ones.

Most recently, I moved into Project Management, managing business improvement and upgrade projects from within the Support Centre. This involved working closely with customers from a large range of companies (rail, chemical, food manufacture) and managing the activities of other consultants within the SAP support centre.

I married my long term boyfriend Phil, whom I met while at MHSG, and had almost a year off in 2002 when I had my little boy, Alexander. In December 2006, we moved to the outskirts of Lancaster live near my parents and despite the longer commute I thoroughly enjoy living in the Lancashire countryside.
