A huge Harvest collection greeted delighted volunteers from The Salvation Army prior to the Autumn Half Term Holiday.

The volume of produce donated from across The Senior School and The Preparatory Department was so great that it filled much of the stage and surrounds in the main hall.

Major Raymond Ward from The Salvation Army revealed that although much of the collection would be distributed immediately, some food stuffs would be held back for the Christmas period.

He said: "Once again, the pupils at Manchester High have been incredibly generous and this collection will be greatly appreciated by all."
