Nine MHSG pupils returned with silverware from a performance festival featuring up-and-coming talent from across the region.

The 91^st Alderley Edge Festival is an annual celebration of the Arts, with 238 hotly-contested classes covering a variety of genres.

Congratulations go to the following girls who were placed first:

Hettie Hughes (Solo Drama, Years 11-13). Joanna Chow (Verse Speaking, Years 9-10).

Rebecca Carver (Shakespeare Cup). Claudia Williams (Solo Drama, Years 9-10). Faye Ho (Verse Speaking, Year 4). Emily Chan (Prepared Prose Reading, Year 4 and Under).

Ellie Cassidy and Laura Collier (Duo Drama, Years 9-10).
